While this article uses math as its example, the main point is that kids who think they are good at something, work harder at it and, as a result, become better at it. Kids who don't think of themselves as good at something, don't work hard at it and, as a result, don't become better at it. More and more research is coming out stating that intelligence is not "fixed." We can all make ourselves a bit smarter with a bit more effort if we can change our attitude.
